YAM Art Show
The YAM (Youth Art Month) district art show will be held in January and February. Roger Park Elementary School will have six featured artworks to show. These artworks will be shown here as soon as they are selected. The art show will take place at the Anchorage Museum of Art and History on the second level. The opening reception will be announced soon. Check back for more information!

The products are of wonderful quality and range in price from $4.50 to $45.00. These make great presents for any occasion and are also wonderful for yourself. I have ordered many products and have never been disappointed. It is a wonderful way to preserve your art or your childrens art.
As I mentioned, we will be completing artwork in class, but you may also use any artwork that you choose. You just have to make sure you follow the guidelines listed below...
Art must be two dementional (no sculptures or pottery)
Art MUST BE 8 1/2" x 11"
NO copyrighted images or text
Make sure artwork is signed at least 1/2" from the edge to make sure it appears
DO NOT use metallics or glitter
Place a "T" on the back of the artwork to indicate the top of the artwork
Make checks payable to ROGERS PARK
There must be a seperate order form for each artwork
MAKE SURE YOUR ORDER IS IN ON TIME - The timeline for this project is listed below

August 24th - Artwork Production Begins
September 8th - Introduction Letter is Sent Home
October 19th - Artwork and Order Forms are Sent Home
October 26th - Deadline for turning in orders
October 30th - All artwork orders are sent to Original Works for processing

December 10th - All products are delivered to the school

Principal's Art Collection
Each year Mr. Locke puts up a principal's pride wall where her enjoys displaying excellent examples of student work. Each month I will be choosing an artwork to be displayed proudly on Mr. Locke's wall. The student's artwork will also be displayed on this page and the student will receive a certificate recognizing their outstanding work!
Look for the artwork to be displayed at the end of September!
